Hi Guys

I know this is a lot earlier than we would normally post a heads up but after the last lot of storms Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day some of our page followers said there was not enough warnings.

So here is a heads up for POSSIBLE severe storms tomorrow more likely from mid afternoon through till Tuesday afternoon.

Now that said it doesn’t mean that every house in every street is going to get affected by severe storms. The potential is there with a trough and a lot of instability in the atmosphere the likelihood of showers/ storms some possibility severe is highly likely from Newcastle all the way to the Queensland boarder over the next few days.

Looking at the current models the highest chance of storms will be from lunchtime tomorrow all the way through to mid morning Sunday. Then again from early hours of Monday morning ( let’s say 3am ish for people that need a time) right through till Tuesday night.

Now storms, rain and showers can happen outside of them times and also hot sunny periods can also occur this is just the most likely times storms could become severe.

We will post warnings if and when they are issued.

The idea of a heads up is to allow you time to make decisions that may affect you it maybe following the advice from the SES to clear drains ,gutters, trees branches around your house, secure outdoor furniture and trampolines. Or it might be we are going out tonight might shut the windows and put the car in the garage it might be you are camping and you just pack stuff away and put stuff away that you are not using. Whatever it is it is easier to do all this stuff when it’s not raining thundering and lightning and windy as or in the middle of the night.

If nothing happens well that’s a good thing if something does and you a prepared that’s a good thing as well.

One more thing we can only post advice and warnings and answer your questions we cannot make you read the posts we put on the page we can’t make you prepare we can’t tell if you have read the latest information that is up to you.

Cheers and have a good weekend
Paul
